Air duct cleaning is the removal of dust, pollen, lint and debris from the supply and return runs that carry conditioned air through your house. It is not the same job as changing a filter. A filter catches what is moving through it right now. Duct cleaning goes after what has already settled on the inner walls of the ducts, inside the register boots, and on the blower wheel, where it sits until the next cycle picks it back up.

Three to five years is the working baseline for most San Antonio homes, which lines up with NADCA guidance.
